Natural Health Conference 2008 —
Natural Health: Many Paths, One Destination

Make a stop on your path to natural health at CCNH’s 7th annual conference, Natural Health: Many Paths, One Destination, April 17-20, 2008, at the Emerald Pointe Resort and Conference Center located in beautiful Lake Lanier Islands, Georgia. As travelers, we have each discovered the path to a natural health lifestyle in our own way and for our own reasons, motivated by our own needs and desires. Some of our paths may have elements in common, yet ultimately each path is as individual as its traveler. The chosen path resonates in mind, body, and spirit, and feels right and true for its traveler. As we share our experiences on our paths with our family, friends, and clients, we learn about their experiences, discovering that there are many roads leading to the same destination.

What does the path to natural health look like? Some travelers choose herbs, nutrition, homeopathy, or a combination of all three. Others pursue the study of Western folk medicine, ayurveda, traditional Chinese medicine, or traditional naturopathy. Do we find our path in energy medicine, spirituality, or movement? For more experienced travelers, the path may encompass all areas of their life, from diet to home décor choices, while new travelers may be reducing specific foods, increasing exercise, and learning how to breathe deep. Discovering our personal path to natural health takes us down many roads and on many journeys, often ones we never imagined or expected. But each path on the journey is begun with a common goal: optimal health.

No matter which path we choose, the destination remains the same. The understanding that we are all seeking the same destination via our unique, and often solitary, paths fosters tolerance, respect, and the desire to learn more about each other’s healing journey. The annual conference allows us to come together to share those journeys, to tell the story of our path to natural health, and to gain the knowledge to send us farther along our own path.
